The apartment is situated just off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, which forms the backbone of the Medieval Old Town. Dominated by Edinburgh Castle at one end and Holyrood Palace at the other, the Royal Mile is perhaps one of the world’s most famous streets. Full of quaint specialist shops and narrow closes visitors will find it the perfect location from which to explore the historic Old Town. The city’s main tourist attractions are right on the doorstep and whether you are looking for fine dining or a casual supper there is something to suit every taste with a huge variety of restaurants bars, and cafes from which to choose.
The Festival Fringe office is situated 50 meters from the apartment and during the month of August the area comes alive with street performers, acrobats and musicians from all over the world. The elegant Georgian New Town, Princes Street and the city’s art galleries are all within very easy walking distance. Visitors wishing to venture further a field will find the area is well served by public transport and Waverly station and the Bus Station are a short walk away.
